PRE & AFTERCARE

PREPARING FOR YOUR TREATMENT WITH SKYE

Before Your Treatment:

1. Arrange your anaesthetic through Keperra Compounding Pharmacy (Order button on the

homepage and link sent in the confirmation email).

2. Avoid consuming alcohol within 24 hours prior to treatment.

3. Some medications may cause adverse effects; consult with a doctor in certain medical circumstances.

4. If you take blood-thinning supplements like fish oil, stop one week before treatment.

5. For areas with existing cosmetic tattoos, contact us or send pictures before booking an appointment.

One Week Post-Treatment:

1. Avoid cardio workouts and excessive sweating until the healing area scabs up (2-5 days).

2. Once scabbing starts, you can resume exercising, but be cautious about exposing the area to sweat.

3. Expected healing time is 5-9 days.

4. Do not touch the healing area with your fingers.

5. Avoid exposure or submersion in chlorinated pools or saltwater.

6. Avoid saturating the area in water.

7. Refrain from steamy or hot showers, steam rooms, and saunas until healed.

8. Avoid consuming alcohol for 48 hours post-treatment.

9. Protect the area from sun exposure for 4 weeks before treatment.

10. Do not pick or scratch the flaking skin or scabs.

11. Ensure your touch-up is booked for 6-12 weeks post-treatment to avoid additional work and charges.

12. Certain chemicals in cleansers and moisturisers may accelerate fading and discolour

the tattoo, so avoid unless directed.

During the Healing Process:

1. The tattooed area may appear dark, and minor scabbing may develop as new collagen-rich skin forms underneath.

2. Protect and nourish the new skin; the color will return within a few weeks.

3. Pigment takes up to 4 weeks to settle into the skin.

PREPARATION AND AFTERCARE FOR BROWS

Preparation:

1. Do not tint your brows before treatment; color matching is done based on your natural tones.

2. Wash your hair before the appointment.

3. Ensure the skin is well-nourished, not dry, and flakey.

4. Approach the appointment with an open mind about different techniques.

5. Skye will recommend the most suitable option based on a thorough consultation.

Aftercare:

1. Use a clean cotton tip to apply a very thin layer of Aftercare product to the area and let it dry.

2. Remove excess product with the other end of the cotton tip.

3. Repeat this process 1-2 times daily, or as directed.

4. Do not saturate the area with water until the final scabs naturally fall off (1-2 weeks).

5. Avoid cleansers on or near the area during healing.

6. Once healed, be cautious of exposing the area to fading treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling, retinols, and cosmeceutical grade products.

7. Return for a touch-up at 6-12 weeks.

PREPARATION AND AFTERCARE FOR LIP BLUSH

Preparation:

1. If you have a history of cold sores, consult a health consultant (Pharmacist or Doctor) at

least 4 days prior to treatment.

2. Exfoliate 1 week before treatment and use a hydrating product (e.g., Vaseline, PawPaw

balm, or Bepanthen) on the lip area daily until the day of treatment.

3. Ensure the lip area is not sunburnt, damaged, chapped, or too dry.

Aftercare:

1. Swelling may occur, but it usually subsides throughout the day or within 3-5 days.

2. Apply a cold compress or ice to the area immediately after treatment for a few minutes,

repeating every few hours that day.

3. Avoid hot drinks or alcohol for the first few days post-treatment.

4. Use a clean cotton tip to apply a thin layer of recommended Aftercare product to the

area regularly throughout the day.

5. Do not apply makeup or touch with fingers until healed (1 week).

6. Dryness, flaking, and peeling are expected within the first few days and usually complete

within a week.

7. The color may disappear initially but will return around 7 weeks.

8. If you experience cold sore symptoms, inflammation, or tenderness, notify Skye

or consult a pharmacist immediately.

9. Return for a touch-up between 8-12 weeks.

10. Additional touch-ups may be required on a case-by-case basis and at an additional charge.
